No dog should even have to be anywhere near this food.

My dad has a 16 year old dog who was fat, lazy, had filthy yellow teeth and arthritis because of this food. We put him on raw a few months ago. he's slim, full of energy, clean teeth! He's lie a puppy again! He can jump in the air and run around!

My poor Pug had seizures on this crap. Red staining, 6 poos a day and a dull coat. Now he is on raw and has two small, odourless, firm poops twice a day.A soft, smooth, glossy coat. NO SEIZURES!

If you are going to feed kibble, just make sure it is holistic and made with human grade ingredients, like Evo, Orijen, Acana. Those are all good ones. Meat must be the first ingredients. The best diet is a raw food diet, and next best is a homecooked one with added supplements.

@RawFedSkye Well.....okay....if you say all those dog-food brands are "junky," then answer me this. I will be a first-time dog owner, come August. What food-brand WOULD you recommend?

Anyone who loves their pet would not feed Pedigree. It's as junky as purina/beneful, hills science diet, iams, eukanuba, royal canin. Dogs need real meat and real nutrition. Those companies use junk meat that is refuse and can't be in human grade food plants.
