Y'know there's a lot of comments here about "making them race" and "competing like dogs", but don't you think a cheetah would love get out and run for a day, just as a break from being cooped up in a zoo? Running is what they DO, and they're not hungry or neglected in this vid.

You were the one calling me an asshole for having a different view to you (remember?), therefore that is extremely immature! Regarding you being dumb, I was simply enquiring as to why you thought it was important to point out that you are a 'young lady', seems strange to point out personal details in an adult discussion. Therefore, In case you're wondering, calling someone an asshole is a personal insult, thus, as you insulted me first you actually gave up all your rights to remain insult-free!

Stating facts on YouTube is hardly insulting when we are all adults. It's just a shame after all this you still haven't learnt a single thing about cheetahs and obviously haven't attempted to look anything up on the subject. Finally, in regards to your insulting comment, you are clearly a very immature young woman who gets angry when people have different views to herself.

Well that's the difference isn't it - people get shits and giggles from entertainment - not from education and not from research. I didn't say what I said to make a difference, I know that the world is too full of people like you to take any notice of reason or intelligence. Also, how do know what I'm doing right now with regards to animal welfare? Don't feel you have to reply, I'm getting a bit bored of teaching you about animals now.

Why is it videoed and put on youtube, for education or entertainment? Why are people standing around it cheering and taking pictures? Sure the video states its to promote environmental awareness but anyone with half a brain can see it does nothing for positive for the species. Why are people all gathered there in the same field with a plastic-net barrier, oh that's right - so money can be made by exploiting the cheetah for its unique evolutionary skill.

I couldn't care less what gender or age you are, do you want sympathy for being dumb or just want me to apologise for being right? You think they like being bundled into the back of a van and driven miles to chase something they can even eat? Looks great when these CHEETAHS are being pulled on LEADS just like DOMESTICATED dogs, I'm sure they just love that - when they are not sprinting for a feather they are surrounded and treated like a wild animal that lashes out! Oh that's right, IT IS WILD!!

You're a fool. House cats are domesticated (to a certain extent) i.e. selectively bred for companionship and low aggression. Dogs are highly domesticated descendants from the grey wolf; again, selectively bred for companionship and lowered aggression. Just because they're in zoos it doesn't mean the species has been domesticated.. yep you guessed it, they are WILD. People only strut around with them as pets to try to show that they care for the animals, when in fact they are just a status symbol

Cats do have facial expressions.. though not like ours. The natural reality of a cheetah is a harsh struggle to survive (stay hydrated and not starve to death). So, these Cheetahs have it made. I'd say this was the equivalent to having a house cat chase a ribbon or toy. Have you ever heard of a dog chasing a ball for fun? Or... how about a human chasing a football or basketball. No... you're right. The cheetahs couldn't possibly be having any fun.

How can you possibly tell if they are enjoying themselves, because they run when they are told?.. and it looks natural to them? Wow great observation, 10/10!

Cats do not show facial expressions like us, your comment is perhaps even more ridiculous that the person above (LeetsHugPotatoes)!!
