An un-edited clip from my HD HERO. The straps weren't tight enough on the helmet mount, so it's quite shaky in the faster parts. Light conditions were fairly low, with no direct sunlight.
This run is from Skyline chair.

Shot at 60FPS at 1280x720P.

  • Thanks for this video. Can you share the software you used but more important, the codex used and the recording settings? Thanks a lot,

    dd

  • @ddegalle I use Sony Vegas 9, and I encode in H.264. The footage was kept at the native 1280X720 at 60FPS.

  • Great vid! Question...how long did the battery last? Did you wrap a handwarmer using a rubber band to keep the battery warm? I heard that's a good trick. Thanks for sharing!

  • @audi4rings It wasn't terribly cold that day, so I didn't see the need to warm it up. I shot about 15 minutes of footage that day, and none of the battery bars disappeared (4 in total).

  • Which do you prefer, side of helmet or top?

  • i just watched a how do they do it episode on how to build snowboards and this was the place they were testing the boards. Where is it?

  • How do you get it into slo mo

  • thank you so much for releasing a video where the camera isnt just staring down

  • @KdjSoccer 30 fps is to get the slow motion effect. but youtube changes the frame rate from 60 to 25-30 fps on all videos. so with youtube you can't see true 60fps videos.

  • she'll be comming round the mountain when she comes :D

  • @ononys should have did 1080p to 24f, but nonetheless video was great and snowboarding is way better!

  • Thanks for riding past the park, stupid kid

  • @mikeph4 It's 60 FPS played back at 30FPS in the camera. So the idea is to get slow motion by overlapping the two video layers. (I think)
