Animals are very rarely dangerous in the woods, but it is important to learn about the animals in your area and their behavior so that you can recognize a threat from them when you see it.

  • This was very strange. I've gone many years without any animal incidents of any concern. Now during a 3 day trip in the woods, I have had 2 encounters with 2 different animals. The animals here must be getting more and more used to people, and that's not a good thing for the people or the animals... It's kind of funny, though. I can't get within 100 yards from a bear during bear season, but he was trying to sneak up on me during the off-season LOL.

  • Here's an update that I forgot to add to the video: 2 nights later, in the same campsite, I had another encounter but this time it was a bear who was circling my site and closing in despite my yelling at it and shining my flashlight on it. I was able to verify (by frs radio) that my buddy and his family where accounted for in their home, and I fired 2 rounds from my pistol at the animal but missed., and he continued to come toward me. I retrieved my rifle and when I turned around, he was gone.

  • good point, firearm safety is important ALL the time, as for the coyote. it was definately sick. they are usualy so shy and skittish. a face to face encounter is uncommon but it does happen. I would love to come down to your area and whack a few good coyotes, is there much public land there. thanks

  • There's about 5,000 acres of public land open to hunting within a 20 minute drive from my house. Come on down!

  • And in Brazil, we arent allowed to hunt or carry any fire wepons, unless your a cop- Im an english teacher :) So I can forget about having a fire gun! Too bad Im not american!! But great vid bro and keep sending them! God bless you guys!

  • Bro here in Brazil we got all kinds of spookie creatures, but luckly(?) for me, in my state the rain forest aint as big and diverse as the amazon, so we dont have many jaguars or leopards as the ones in the amazon forest. We got some cats but they arent as agressive though. We got plenty of snakes and poisonous spiders which are active all year long, so those are some of the natural threats we got in my area of operation. The real danger though is the men like you wisely said.

  • awesome thanks.

  • Very good video Glad you pointed out whats behined your target
