its a bit wrong, the cha cha in the middle should be a a small step bring the other foot to it then a big step, not 2 steps of the same size

@Irinasdaddy Yea I know by now. Like in Salsa (or Casino or Mambo or whatever) there are like 20 different ways to do it. With off time you mean to start on 2, right?

@KrismasGM Then you should probably go to another studio if they're teaching you salsa that looks like that, and with those steps.

@lilmaasster If you learned it at a Havana Club or something you probably learned it that way. Some people break on different beats. As for the forward and back, that is also a legitimate way to do it. As long as it has that cha-cha-1 action in the middle it's still cha-cha. You may have just learned it off time.

that's weird... I was demonstrated the Cha-Cha basic like the basic step of Salsa on 2, only with the cha-cha shuffle on 4 and 8. Also, the Cha Cha was going forward and backwards, not sideways. Is this another style or something?

these are the absolute beginner steps in ChaCha...all the videos I watched so far are truly missleading...This is a correct basic ChaCha Step... I know what I'm talking about I'm dancing for years!!!!!
