This is a nice example! Notice the use of two tone color and the plentiful use of chrome and stainless steel trim. Fins are still present, as is the pushbutton controls for the Torqueflite..the final year for that was 1964. The rear view mirror is mounted on the dash. A very roomy car, not the lion on the front fenders...Chrysler went with the slogan "lion hearted"!

  • I love that this car has factory installed air conditioning.

  • @itsmegp46 Factory A/C was still in its relative infancy...I've often wondered how we got along without it for the first 50 years of the automobile! But as they say, we can't miss what we don't know...so we survived, and opened the vent wings a little further! Thanks! : Jack

  • @sexysagi Ah yes...the good memories and the bad! Many a car has met doom from something as forgettable as a stuck thermostat! Or it could be more..a failed water pump, a coolant leak..sad to have that happen to such a classic car! Thanks!

    :) Jack

  • My late uncle had one of these when I was a kid; The reason I remember the car so well because it kept overheating!!

  • @cheddyrod Hey, Chester! I love those torsion bar suspensions..I had them on my 63, 64 and 68 Dodge...they were superior handlers, and the ride was amazingly stable on those surfaces you mention! Nice your aunt had a great example! Thanks! :) Jack

  • @1DRock37167 Hey, Daryl! Thanks! :) Jack
