King Chanticleer is A favorite stride piece written about a Rooster. It is played by many jazz combos around the world. Some more astute listeners might hear another tune called "Ma, he's making eyes at me" embedded into the middle of my version of this piece. I leave it to you to guess why this has been done.
@Lostfighter01 Indiana State University's sheet music library (InHarmony) has a copy of the original. Or send me your email, and I'll send you a version that's completely ragged out. It's a scary piece of music, I'll admit, but it's (suprisingly) playable.

I'm looking for sheet music on this song, if anyone could message me with a link, I can try and post a video tutorial on how to play it at a later date.

awesome playing monty! I found some sheets of a song by Jeanne Delmar called "Chanticler" with a big rooster on the cover, I followed the scores while listening to this song and they fit together pretty good but I was wondering is your version different by chance? I think they way you play it is fantastic and I want to learn! I found another by Albert Gumble called "Chanticleer (Cock a Doodle Doo) Rag: March Two-Step" I assume they are the same but.. I'm curious to know either way.
