This is how I get on my 2011 ducati monster 696. I'm 5'1" so I'm pretty short. The ducati has a 30 inch seat height though so it's not as tall as the sport bikes. Just made this video for short people wondering how we can get on and pick up the bike. The exhaust is a leo vince gp style. The mirrors are rizoma retro bar end mirrors

  • im 6ft 4... would i fit on it? sounds absolutely amazing

  • @lewigimole i would fit on it but maybe it would be better to get the 796 or something a little taller so u dont look like a giant on such a low seat bike haha but definately go to a dealer and sit on one and see if youre comfortable

  • Have you ever had one of your camera's taken away? Risky risky risky! haha

  • @TheKLJonesy nope i live in the middle of nowhere lol

  • @threepac3 Thanks for youre insight man! I appreciate it!

  • @secretpolice I took the MSF course right after I bought the bike. But even after i did I would stall the bike a lot. In my case the Ducati 796 needed a little more initial throttle to get going. It took a couple days of practice after work to get it right.

In case of the brakes... I had abs on mine so I just used the front breaks. Never had a problems using full force in emergency stops.

  • @threepac3 Weight is no problem i've sat on them a few times at my local duc dealer. I am mainly concerned about the shifting/braking. The internals.

  • @secretpolice Are you asking a question or a statement...? Even after taking the class riding a ducati isn't easy. The bike is significantly heavier then the ones they use in the class.

  • @TheOZBehindCurtain oh well I'm 6'1 so i guess thats why it doesn't look so big on me ha. all that matters is if your actually wearing one! lol

  • @HtownsFinestt I don't think it looks big on you. I'm 5'7 and think my helmet looks big on me.
