Here is a transcription by Mily Balakirev of the 2nd movement of Chopin's 1st Piano Concerto, performed on Sunday September 20th in the Ashburnham Community Church. The concert was organized by the Frederick Historical Piano Collection and the piano was an 1840 Erard from Paris, France. (See www.frederickcollection.org)

Luscious. You found that magical balance between restraint and passion -- something that eludes many players who tackle Chopin (alas, I'm one of them). I got a kick out of hearing an unusual old piano, too.
