  • @VideoWatcher332 Actually, Ironically I just do happen to have experience with C++, SDL & Game Programming.

I wouldn't waste my time unless I could use it to put gas in my car, food on the table and a roof over my head. Steam & AutoDesk, Adobe...etc will avoid linux like the black plague because the GPL would force them out of business & existence. No thanks I'd rather dig ditches than write software for a living with no return.

  • @EnigmaXIII Feel free to write your own games and submit them if you think you can do any better.

  • Windows is so much better if you like to play games!

It also comes with all the Apps you don't need. Ubuntu Users need to start rating and reviewing apps in the Repo cauze a good 60% of stuff especially in the games section is trash, they need more packagers.

  • I'm at a loss to say that you get Rhythmbox and Totem as media players in Ubuntu GNOME.

  • Love it.

  • @murderslastcrow Well Ubuntu was always going to be the Linux Distro I picked, but with Windows 7 Home Premium, I don't feel a need. I know which I'll be picking in the future though, should I ever decide to use Linux. :)

  • @murderslastcrow No it probably isn't as difficult as I had originally made out. I understand that was probably the purpose behind the software center. However when I used it a while back, installing stuff I needed was NOT provided in the software centre meant visiting a website and downloading a package, which told me to use commands to be able to unpack and install such things. If it was in the software centre then I see it would have been simple.

I'm enjoying W7 once more. No Linux for me ;)

  • @UKFX Try installing 2 Windows 7 side by side and see if that is any easyer. You mention a 9.6 driver, I am guessing this is for a ATI grafic card. You no longer need to manually install driveres for ATI card, but if you have a HD card you can install a faster driver under System-Administration-Additional drivers, here you can also install the wifi driver for problematic wireless cards with one click, easy and simple.
