i think this video shows why the west somerset railway is one of the best in britain, i remember city of truro at the 2005 spring gala, its a quick little engine

Thanks - the WSR spring galas seem to be better attended than the autumn ones and the spring ones certainly never cease to amaze me. I thought the spring 2005 one was packed but 2006 had even more people attend then 2007 had EVEN MORE people there!

I think they are planning a gala based around the fact that it is 60 years since the 1948 exchange trials the b1 61264 is to make an appearence?

it should be good, they should try to get an A4 or duchess of sutherland, it would be nice to have express engines from the big 4 all at the same time on the same railway

Well, glad you said that, because A4 Bittern and Duchess Of Sutherland will both visit next summer on Cathedrals Express trips!

Well what can i say! 3440 did look superb over the gala! However, if 34046 was working trains over the gala i think there would have been a lot more people at the gala, looks like we'll have to wait until next spring to see her in action at a well attended gala.

Yeah, i've got to say i agree with you there( except for the diesel)!

To get to where i was for the Blue anchor shots exit the station and head towards the sea (as crazy as that sounds) then take a left through a small housing estate. Then follow the pathway along until you foind a spot best suited for you. hope this helps.
