Hey, about that car. Did you ever decide on a name for it? Did you figure out if it's a boy car or a girl car?

@moocapiean It's still sort of in limbo. At some point I decided it was a girl and was going to call it Louise, but I don't know if that will stick or not. We'll see.

Keep that $165 and change in your pocket. Call them and complain. This has happened with my dentist before, and it's usually a misfile with insurance or some crazy mistake.

I always thought it was just easier to pay people so they would just shut up, but when I definitely don't owe money, it's time to speak up.

The thing is, I think I probably do owe the money, because my insurance company doesn't actually cover much of anything I need on a regular basis like eye exams. They probably didn't realize it until after they filed the claim, which is fine, but still, it's stupid for them to get peeved with me for not paying in a timely manner! I'll have to check my files, though, just in case.

Yeah, that's really annoying. That's kind of like what the Bursar Department does to me when they send me the first notice of a bill . . . the day after it was due.

I also have insomnia problems, particularly during the summer months. I sleep really well when it's cold, but not when it's warm. (And by "warm," I mean . . . like, seventy degrees or higher.)

That's bureaucracy in action! People have no urgency about these kinds of things unless it pertains to them personally.

I tend to sleep better when it's cooler too (though not much better). I find it's just easier to get comfortable when you're not sweating to death.

I HATE spending money on FOOD!!! AGRH! Feels like wasting them. You buy some food and eat it. It's GONE! Along with my money!!! :-(((

This is why I like paying bills online. First of all, stuff gets filed into a database by a machine, which don't make filing mistakes as often as humans do. Second, I have my own set of digital records which I can then print out and file on my own, so I have two sets of records for myself that I can use to back up any claims I need to make should something get messed up on their end of things. It is quite nice.
