Blitz3D works on DirectX7 ;)
You only need a 3D-Card which is good enough, if you want to make a 3D game :)

sorry I cannot answer to the question because I'm working on XP. But I think Blitz3D or BlitzMax will work on Vista, too ;)

sorry, I'm too lazy to get my newer passwort for the old account, so I write with my new account.
I think the Sun was a sprite, which had the current coordinates of a sphere. Then I asked, if the sun is on the screen or not. In the first cased I set the Alpha-Value=1. In the second case, I set it on another value.
I hope this was the information you wanted to know ;)
