This is a box jump using one legged contacts. Dropping from the box increases the eccentric load of the exercise.

  • Yeah depth bound is a good name. I was the one who named the exericse in the video. I've always called them that. Progression i use for these includes adding running strides before the first box. I've gone out to 2 running strides and had the boxes 7.40m apart. That is my best.

  • @HPCsport you are correct, but I just think it needs a little more to it because I think of a single leg box jump as jumping onto a high box off of one leg, like a regular box jump off 2 feet.

This definitely has a bound element so I would call it a depth bound as I write this type of exercise as a depth bound in my journals: please don't think I'm a youtube hater . . love your vids i just love naming exercises b/c it gets confsing for me

  • name makes no sense, I would call it a depth bound for height.

  • How far apart are the box's and what range do you strat from?

  • Cal State Fullerton

  • nIcE ..

  • i've competed here before...it looks so familiar but i can't pinpoint it

  • damn that's impressive
