While visiting the TapOuT gym in Las Vagas , we decided to take a class with Vinny Magalhães, Ultimate Fighter finalist and BJJ world champion. Here Vinny shows the armbar from the Z mount (or S Mount) and how to get the other arm out of the mix as you go for the armlock.

That preparatory arm trap while in the Z mount was one of the most beautiful moves I have ever seen in Jiu Jitsu ...

hey vinny i have really bad knee problems my knees always becoming dislocated does that brace help with problems like that? If so what kind of brace were you wearing

I honestly don't even know why I call it Z mount, maybe I'm just mixing it up with the Z Guard that I like to use a lot. You guys might be right, it's probably S mount.

@kenpachii100 just give it some time. After about 6month to a year of training, this will be easy to remember.

Yes...Vinny just calls it the Z mount...no difference. Some people call an americana a hammer lock and some call it a ude garami...
