When the world's greatest dobro (resophonic guitar) player, Jerry Douglas, stopped in for an interview at Nashville Public Television about co-hosting the 2010 IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) Awards Show and Fan Fest, we couldn't resist requesting a tune for NPT Camera One. Jerry replied with "Route Irish" a tune he wrote in honor of the the troops in Iraq.

this is a song I didn't really liked in the beginning to be honest. But the more often I listened to it, the more I started to like it. Now I have to say, I love it. Well, there are songs out there you need to grow into before you can appreciate it. It really is a great piece.
