Teacher Arrested For Tying A Sweater Around 6 Year Old Neck And Dragging Her Across Playground

A school teacher was arrested for allegedly dragging a student across a playground Monday and the 6-year-old's mother let her daughter describe in her own words what happened. Officers with the Baker Police Department have been examining the child's clothing in connection with what allegedly happened at the Bakerfield Elementary School playground.

Mildred Russ, 65, of Baton Rouge is the teacher who was arrested for the alleged incident. "She tied my jacket around my neck and she dragged me to the playground to the office," said Kiya Rogers. Someone said Russ was not at home when a news crew went looking to get a comment from her. The address on the street was covered by piece of paper and the one near the front door had a bag on it.

They used to whip the kids asses when I was in pre school. A brush, a belt, one teacher had duct tape wrapped around the end of a ruler. Man kids used to catch some. Lol.
