This is astonishing - the guy is a serving general and essentially declaring himself for president in 2012. What he is saying is fair and well-reasoned but anyone who knows anything about Afghanistan, it's history and geography and human nature would reach the same conclusions. I guess they found a reason to crucify him. Anyone who compares Obama to Lincoln or makes him to be as great a man should read a book by Doris Kearns Goodwin called, "Team of Rivals." get it on CD at your library and listen to it on the way to work in the car each day - it's a very good look at another insightful man. Lincoln knew how to identify and direct talent and didn't have to shoot down anyone who dared to make him look like a fool.

You ask a very honest question. Listening to these words, it would be hard for anyone to disagree with the General. His speech proves his insight and that he knows what to do. The speech on the whole details why this is not an easy fight with easy simple plans and solutions. He opens the speech by discounting anyone who would give easy plans and "clean" solutions and calls those people "clueless."

Obama has second-guessed everything the guy does. The simple answer is, jealousy.

Beautiful, this is a Man speaking while cowards stand by and let obama and his ceo bosses rape an entire country. This is a Man SPEAKING the truth and STANDING up for all of the women and mothers, while those idiot politicans scheme and say nothing to try and avoid the recoil from thier plan.
