This happened in Tehran
Sokhoi 24 Crashed after Pilots took it for a test drive and spotted a malfunctioning in hydrolic system. another fighter went up to clear the path for their landing.Pilots almost made it to the runway but they ended up ejecting from the SU-24.

Two things are clear:
=>All the sanctions are hurting Iran if they can not service a Russian plane properly.
=>The two pilots had a lot of steel where it matters; the easy thing would have been to eject earlier than try to land that thing.
