The original version was released as a silent movie in 1955 with an eerie avant-garde soundtrack. The geniuses in hollywood got Ed McMahon to add a commentary/story-teller soundtrack and re-released it as 'Daughter of Horror.'
This is a beautiful film and uses many techniques in light, shadow, expression and montage to tell the story
I have added my own soundtrack, its a work in progress. I don't claim its better than the original score, but its got to be better than listening to Ed's running commentary. Some of the tracks are recycled from old recordings, some were created specifically for this project, all are created on analogue modular synths, with a bit of help from a SP-808 and ES-1 samplers.
I used this movie as a source in some of my videos. I noticed that fat chicken-eating Orson Welles guy in the screenshot here and was surprised to find someone else had used this film. Great work!
