..and actually mean bad or wrong or stupid is totally NOT awesome. It equates gay=bad and even if it's a joke, it's still hurtful. 5. Cross dressing: see #2. 6. Crazy piercings and I'm assuming other body modifications: not limited to lgbt people. People get tattoos and uncommon piercings. It's their business (also #2)
I know you probably mean well, @TheTechnoChimp, so I hope I don't sound mean here. I'm just commenting on what you said. Happy International women's day, everybody.

1. Tranny is a derogatory term for trans* people and I'm sure they don't appreciate it casually tossed around. 2. They change their voices, their bodies, etc. because they don't feel comfortable with what they have or maybe they just want to. Bottom line: not our business. 3. Pride parades are there because a majority of the the world puts them down and tells them they should be ashamed. It's like a huge DFTBA party, basically. 4. Calling something gay when you don't mean happy or homosexual...

@TheTechnoChimp That's the thing - every heterosexual goes around showing their pride, everyday. Heterosexuality is proclaimed from every billboard, every movie, every tv show, every person who asks you "do you a girlfriend" if you're a boy and "do you have a boyfriend" if your a girl. The behaviors you want gay people to acquire, aren't neutral behaviors. They are coded straight behaviors. And that's becuase you and society consider straight to be neutral. Also - being "sick" is a scary thing.

@lovelyhera1314 not really, i meant proclaiming you straightness/gayness in the first place, is stupid. and i meant the way they behave is scary, not because it's different, because it's sick. everyday is a pride parade?? what kind of heterosexual goes around showing their proudness because they are straight? maybe stuff is a pride parade for u mr, now that's arguably.
-
@TheTechnoChimp But straight people are considered the default. Being straight, walking around proclaiming your straightness, on bilboards, on tv, in metaphors and idioms and laws and in the culture surrounding you means that people who don't do that are different, and different is scary. Those behaviors are only "scary" b/c for you, everyday is a pride parade. You're not afraid of gays, your afraid of people who are different. Which is, arguably, a much worse outlook to have.

@TheTechnoChimp what i mean is that homosexual men are generally the way they are because they have different levels of certain hormones to the rest of us, such as high levels of estrogen or not enough testosterone. this can interfere with genetic coding and affects many physical aspects, one of which is development of vocal chords, which either remain similar to the way they were during boyhood or develop the way a female's would.
hope that helps :)
Hallelujah for slightly effeminate straight men! I only wish that there were more of you, and that more of you were more confident in yourselves. I am a straight girl who is NOT impressed when guys try to hard to be macho. It's annoying and unattractive. Give me a man I can relate to!

I just think we should date who we date and not worry so much. I mean, I am obviously not against gay pride, because overcoming adversity and raising awareness is important. I just mean that it shouldn't be such a big deal for us which gender we like. We should just concentrate more on which PEOPLE we like, and spend time with those persons whom we like.
