It is fundamentally wrong and unjust that our leader has pledged to use his authority over England in the interests of what is becoming a foreign country, his country, his people and his future.

It is offensive, racist, corrupt, deceitful and surely against the oath that he took when he took up office as an MP.

He is (in effect) the Prime Minister of ENGLAND with little influence or clout in Scotland.

We should not allow him to remain unchallenged on an oath to use England and her wealth and well being in the interests of furthering his own country.

  • @midgiemarsh Where did I mention Gaelic? And if you bothered to even check the pension that a Gurkha receives I can assure you that it is well below the standard that other regiments recieve. I have yet to see Alex Salmond publicly profess his dislike for the commonwealth.

  • @DrunkOnScotsWhisky because the Salmond would not want us to be part of the commonwealth. He hates the commonwealth and loves the EU. The Gurkhas do get a pretty good pension and are not treated like second class citizens apart from maybe from racists like the BNP and Neds. Look I can't be bothered with you anymore like most pro independence people you spout gaelic nonsense and always go on about wars that were fought nearly 700 years ago.

  • @midgiemarsh how do you figure that an independent Scotland wouldn't hire from the commonwealth, it's a perfectly feasible plan and Commonwealth countries are not obliged to follow England. The Joanna Lumley campaign got the Gurkha's the right to settle in the UK, but it still didn't address the issue of them being treated like second class citizens or them getting a pitiful pension below the standard rate for all the other regiments.

  • You obviously have not been paying attention recently there was a big campaign for Gurkhas rights led by Joanna Lumley

  • @DrunkOnScotsWhisky Trust me mate they wouldn't they all swear an allegiance to the Queen and the whole of Britain not just Scotland. Yes I agree the defence cuts are outrageous but a Scottish Army cannot work were already financially fucked and Salmond is bribing voters with promises he cannot afford. The Gurkhas are not treated like dirt they have the right to settle in the UK after 4 years service(I think) and they are entitled to pensions.

  • @DrunkOnScotsWhisky An independent scotland under Salmond would recruit from the EU not the British commonwealth.

  • I'm also certain that Commonwealth countries like Australia and especially Canada who was built up by French and Scottish settlers would fight alonside an independent Scotland. If England could also hire soldiers from laces like Fiji, there is no reason why an independent Scotland could not do the same.

  • @midgiemarsh so what i;m sure many Scottish soldiers given the chance would elect to join an independent Scottish army, especially since the unelected [by Scotland] Tory and Lib dem cuts are about to the tear the British Army to pieces. Westminster also treats the nepalese Gurkha's like dirt, it senies them the same pensions, and rights as any of the other regiments. The Irish Republic may be in a mess now but the UK is in finacial meltdown as well.

  • @DrunkOnScotsWhisky Well good Salmond is fat ignorant git who has gone mad. I'd much rather be run by Westminster where there is some sense in running the country
