In the 60s, my father went to see a couple of groups in Farnborough (small town, South of England) Town Hall. The first band was 'polite' playing music to dance to for girls in frocks with their boyfriends. The next band looked like nothing on earth and played the most heavy, way out, progressive music and the 'tidy crowd' left within a few songs. This band was Cream! My father stayed with a couple of others and spoke with Eric, Jack & Ginger. They even cadged cigarettes off him! Thnx for post!

@claptongroupie Just think, Eric owes him a cigarette ! Yes, my dad is lucky isn't he ?! Amongst others, he's also met Chuck Berry waiting for the bus, Brian Jones in the pub, Ian Dury when he used to play at the Nashville, London, and Mohammed Ali when he gave a lecture at Boston U. You know, I think people were easier to meet then ! By the way, I am definitely going to be checking out more of your vids over the next few days.

@AstraMusicOfficial My mouth fell open when I read your replyl...good grief, lawdy; mama,,,getting to meet those guys! Like I said, wonderful memories! The only thing I can say that would even begin to come close is my sister and I left a Rolling Stones concert, went walking out the back way, and a fleet of limos stopped, window rolled down and Mick and Keith started singing "miss you",,,just me and her standing there like idiots, our mouths falling down to the ground lol
