    Now you get to see where he got some of his inspiration from. The Zappa connection is nothing to be ashamed of. Both Zappa and Varèse were great artists.

    An ideal combination : the precision of Boulez and the primal force of Varese. There is an outstanding recording of Boulez with the New York Philharmonic playing some of Varese's larger works on Columbia/Sony.
