Here is a very cool Gibson SG Special with great tone. It's all stock and this is my usual unrehearsed jamming with the guitar plugged straight into my Fender Super Sonic amp with an Avatar 2x12 extension...all 3 speakers are Hellatone 30's, and there are no effects besides the built in reverb and gain/distortion. Thanks for watching! Feel free to rate and comment on it. I will be listing this for sale on eBay (tonight) under "Near Mint Gibson USA SG Special w/Nitro Finish NR!".

  • can you play metal with a gibson sg ???

  • @TheRimy22 I don't know what you consider to be "Metal", but what i consider to be Metal was invented with an SG...think Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Alice Cooper, Judas Priest and back in the day at least (early to mid 70's), they were sporting SG's...some of them still are...if you like the looks and the feel and the sound, who care what anyone else thinks! And you can always change the pickups to change your sound a bit...although a stock SG sounds pretty rockin' to me!

  • @greengtrs metal is for me songs like from metallica or from mashinhead or megadeth ;)

i think changing picups is to expensive for me :D

but thanks for the anwser ... rock on =)

  • @TheRimy22 I'm not saying you have to change the pickups (which is cheap in the grand scheme of things), you don't and probably wouldn't even want to, it's just that you could...you have to be careful that you don't want what players are endorsing (because they are being paid millions of dollars sometimes)...Metallica started out playing Gibson's...not ESP's...I remember George Lynch (Dokken) almost losing his ESP endorsement (the biggest ESP endorser at the time) for using a PRS live. R.O.2! =)

  • You've got great talent man. A Gibson SG is the next guitar on my list, i'm trying to get one in Australia but can't find a decent one that sounds as good as yours, maybe its the amps...

  • @AdrianEVH96 Thanks! The amp definitely helps! Good luck with the search...

  • @TheRimy22 take into consideration the amp makes up about 60 % of the tonal difference as long as you like the looks , feel and how it combines with your amp , BUY IT !!!!! its one of the best guitars you can find for the price espeicially if you get one second hand in good condition. oh yeah i have one and i can tell you its very versatile it can do anything.

  • @VoremGuitar SG's usually fall in the 6 to 7 pound area while Les Pauls usually range between 9 - 11 lbs...the newer weight relieved ones are probably more in the 8 lb range...i can't deal with the weight of most Les Paul's anymore...

  • @greengtrs how heavy are SG's? i currently own a Les Paul model guitar, but they're very heavy, i was thinking of buying a SG but i don't know how heavy it is

  • @Gubeguitar Thanks! Glad you like it...
