this guy who is so proud of his engineering skillz forgets one very important thing - this engine needs to suck in a WHOLE LOT of air. this elaborate fake can only work with the air inside the cabin - pffffft !

First, there's the whole issue of ripping the turboshaft engine out of the heli it came from, getting rid of the excess parts, and converting it to a jet engine (from a turboshaft engine). That's already a massive amount of work, by ONE person, too.
Then there's the fact that he managed to secure the engine well enough that it didn't rip free of its mounts and tear through the front of the car.
He also managed to pack the electronics behind the rear bumper. That's some serious optimization.

What a shit commenter. Tries to make a witty Mini vs. Beetle comment but doesn't realize that this is a FUCKING JET-POWERED BEETLE.
Also, do you not realize the amount of engineering expertise that goes into the fabrication and installation of a jet engine in the back of a VW Beetle?
Get lost, punk.
