Is this game somewhat as confusing and complex at Icewind Dale II???

Looks kinda the same =\ im after more of a 1 person controller RPG type game. And icewind dales like 6 units... its just way too much :S

@mikeyb2k9 I am a one person controller myself. And this IS such a game, of course the campaign has implemented those "move 2 or more persons at a time " moments. But online is all about moving your character around ( in an enviroment filled with others ) in various scenery. It's complex, but nothing most people can't figure out...as with most games, right ? :) Give it a try,mikey I thing you'll like this classic game.

Cool thing is that you can make your own huge persistent world so other people can connect to it and play online with you and your friends. I heard that the World Builder in NWN1 is easier and faster to work with than NWN2 World Builder, also might be way the online experience have been worse in NWN2. There where so many extremely well done persistent worlds for NWN1. A special thanks goes to the makers of "Lost Souls". This game is still on top of my favorite list cos it touched my heard deeply

LS, hehe I used to be a vivid player on LS ;) I was one of the first who found BoB and his minions....elven underground...secret passageway ..and a few U turns...and BANG hellballs were flying like mosquitoes :) Ahh the memories .....

I have been in love with this game ever since it came out and have played the campaigns with almost every kind of race combination out there. The mod community is probably one of the best out there. Absolutely wonderful game irrespective of whether you are an old D&D fanatic or a RPG newbie.

Btw, I totally cracked up when you picked the Manic Psychotic option as the voice for your character and said it was your favourite. It is my favourite too :)

To those who think this game looks complicated, it looks a little scary at first yes but as you use it more and more you begin to realise a lot of the text you see is actually just padding and not all information. This game gives you a lot of freedom with character creation, giving 23 classes to mix and match (Including the expansion HoU and SoU) with up to three of them at a time. By now the game will be cheap and it still retains its online community, buy it :)

It amazes me how much content that was reused in Neverwinter Nights 2 that they already had in Neverwinter Nights 2. For shame!

@mikeyb2k9 You're out of your mind. Icewind Dale 2 is leagues better than NwN. Not that NwN is bad, but IWD2 is better. Just because you can't control more than one character doesn't mean that nobody else can't. It also doesn't mean that a game is unplayable.

Just think about how much has happened to games only in few years. How big change this was from Baldur's Gate. Graphical part at least. And then Dragon Age. I damn look forward to the next generation RPG from Bioware. I bet it will be beyond epic, spine chilling and tear provoking. It will be: bye bye IRL

@mattrospecs I am glad I own neverwinter nights but yes the level editor just isnt as cool as that in NWN1. Such a pity. Have you ever made or played a mod for NWN1? I made one and made a cartoon intro for it here. The description box has the download link from the IGN vault.

yeah well i tried playing Icewind Dale II and its horrible, unplayable personally. However im currently playing through chapter 1 of neverwinter nights =] and its awesome! Gotta admit even though it carries all the confusing dice roll and nerdy crap with it as the previous games, its quite playable. Still dont know what half the stuff does, means or whatnot. But managing to get through the game pretty nicely. Im hoooked! lol
