1-99 Runecrafting guide Runescape

EQUIPMENT needed to runecraft, btw everything in brackets is optional

Ring of dueling (buy lots of these around 2k if aiming for 91+)
Amulet of Glory (Buy around 20 to save time)
Rune Essence, this is only needed to 44 so dont buy masses
Pure Essence , this is only needed after 44 (so buy a lot if your aming for 80+)
(lots of energy pots if you have a low agility)
Boots of lightness
(penance gloves)
Spotty or spottier cape
(full agile)
Air and Mud staff (mud staff is needed when running astrals)
The tiara required for making runes i.e. 1-14 you will need air tiara

QUESTS needed

To Runecraft in the first place you need Rune Mysteries
To Runecraft astrals then you need to have completed lunar diplomacy and dream mentor (dream mentor)
This does mean you need 85 combat which means low level skillers cannot craft these.
You also need to talk to the lady in the chicken hut on lunar island to recieve the ZMI spell
the zamaorak mage .This is very important as it allows you to use pouches

SKILLS needed

67 Magic (this is to the npc contact spell so you can repair your pouches)
57 Summoning , this is to summon the graahk and the abyssal parasite
50 agility for running
(high defence for when running past suqah at lunar island)
(43 prayer for zmi)

AIR RUNNING

You want to be as light as possible to run these runes as its a short distance between the altar and bank, always use the last booth closest to the door as your
character wont have to dodge all the posts and doors when running out of the bank
you NEED rune essence NOT PURE as its a waste of money
air runes do sell but take a short while
you will most likely make a loss from this method, but hey its getting you exp

Fire Running

fire runes are real simple to make, first start in CASTLE WARS then withdraw all of your RUNE ess from the top right corner of your bank
then fill any pouches if you have any to fill. Use your ring to teleport to the duel arena and run outside towards the obelisk and you will see the altar
run in there and turn your camera facing the altar. after just craft the runes then tele back to castlewars. done simple


Astral Running

look at my astral running guide for extra detail but here are the basics
(you will need a familiar that holds ess or a terrorbird)
always bank with birds eye jack as he does not require a seal of passage to use
run south until you hit a tree
run behind the tree (this is a faster route)
then run over the bridge
click near the altar then on the altar to craft the astraks as fast as possible
make sure your pouches are in an L shape in your inventory and empty your pouches
craft them on the altar and tele back


Nature Running

keep your camera facing east for most of the trip as this angle is used a lot
bank at cwars and fill your pouches
SELECT LEFT CLICK OPTION to call familiar (this is very very handy)
this will allow you to seperate your graahk from the rest of the pile
this will also close the bank for you so it can be quicker depending on how you prefer to runecraft
use your graahk to tele
before you land click to the east as far as you can
the player should get a run boost
keep running past the jungle
DONT GO THROUGH THE TREES
run past the obelisk then run into the rift
make your runes then tele back to cwars

ZMI Running I will make a guide for this soon and post a link in this description,

basically you need lots of fire runes a mud staff and law runes. fill your pouches up at the banker in the dungeon
he will ask for 20 fire runes per bank. this does add up after a few banks. make sure you have protect from range on. run the dangerous way around
then empty your 2 smallest pouches then your largest afterwards
this means you dont have to empty it twice which might cost time.

LOW LEVEL SKILLERS

at 50 runecrafting the guild offers nature tabs to runecraft making this very easy for low levels skillers to get. if you havent got 50 runecrafting then stick to air runes
and fire runes until you hit 50. you can also use lamps and so forth
to get the tabs you need to play GREAT ORB PROJECT. (recomended to play 5050 games) recieving tokens from this mini game will allow you to trade them for tabs

Reparing pouches

badically you will need a 2airs (none if you have air staff) 1 law rune and 1 cosmic rune
cast the spell then talk to the dark mage
ask to repair the pouches
