shaun of the dead wasn't a parody. the story lines aren't even vaguely similar, minus the zombies. I have trouble picking a favorite between it and zombieland though. its better to be harrelson's acting vs Penn's writing

As I said, each are great. Shaun of the dead had more gore, but Zombieland had alot more action involved, as well as romance. Dispite this, it worked out surprisingly well, every actor casted was perfectly.

So, if you wan't a movie FULL of hilarious jokes and the occasional zombie kill scene, Shaun of the Dead.

If you want a ZomRomCom with a perfect blend of comedy and 'badassness', Zombieland. BOTH of these are 10/10. Weird how the best zombie films are comedy.
