Professor J. Paul Robinson hoped to raise more than a Purdue flag when he reached the summit of Mount Everest.
He also hoped to raise awareness and funding to help those affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa.
Robinson completed the trek to 29,029 feet on May 23 to raise money for Cytometry for Life, a not-for-profit founded at Purdue to develop reliable, low-cost diagnostic tools that will facilitate treatment for AIDS victims across sub-Saharan Africa.
