Here is Paul Franklin with Mark Knopfler life. This is probably THE video clip that shows Paul's pick blocking the best. Like Mark Knopfler said in the beginning of this clip...."A MUSICAL GENIUS"......enjoy.

  • @1bosshog42010 I couldn't agree more, this is how it should have been in the first place,Gotta give props to Jools Holland on piano also,he really tears it up on this one

  • The only thing i can stay is Paul just makes this Rock n Roll song. Played in wwy it should have been recorded in 1st place. what steel Player. Rite up there with John David Call (pure praire league) I dont know who 1st or 2nd. The best Steel Ever.

  • I was lucky one night in 89 or 90-my then wife's friend called and said she had an extra ticket to see Mark Knopfler and would she like to go-well,she wasnt interested so she hollers to me-HEY,DO YOU LIKE MARK KNOPFLER?

    I yell back-YEAH,WHY?

She hollars,JACKIE HAS A TICKET FOR TONIGHTS SHOW-10th ROW DEAD CENTER-WANNA GO?

Needless to say,it was one of the best concerts Ive ever been to-ranks right up there with Joe Walsh,Carlos Santana, George Harrison,Led ZEP,Eagles.

    Mark is a guitar genius

  • What mistake? Refering to 5.06 as per Olszaz.

  • Has Sarah Jory ever played this with Dire Straits?

  • The word mistake and Paul Franklin dont even belong together. He is a fifteenth degree black belt of the pedal steel guitar

  • Booaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!

this was always a great song - with that steel it's a killer!

  • @Olszaz

only himself can tell, can you call it "mistake".
