The original video of this song from 1977.

And the men who hold high places
Must be the ones who start
To mold a new reality
Closer to the Heart

The Blacksmith and the Artist
Reflect it in their art
Forge their creativity
Closer to the Heart

Philosophers and Ploughmen
Each must know his part
To sow a new mentality
Closer to the Heart

You can be the Captain
I will draw the Chart
Sailing into destiny
Closer to the Heart

  • @CAPTAINSARGE I'm pretty sure 9 out of 10 people think the singer is a woman, but as they say, Geddy Lee doesn't sing like a woman, women sing like Geddy Lee

  • Oh so many people are mad bro because they can't have Geddy's voice.

  • @willclark22 lol?

  • Damn that woman singing is fucking hideous. Are all Canadian women this fugly?

  • @ezakustam I wanted to post this video to my Facebook, and didn't because of that. It's very confusing why they did that, although I know they weren't communist and I hope that North Korean bastard burns in hell.

  • @boldfilter I very rarely go back and reply to ancient comments like this, but I'd be completely remiss if I didn't mention that Rush was always pretty obviously anti-Communism (or at least anti-mindless collectivism and conformity). The Starman icon that they're most associated with is a symbol of that stance: "All (the naked man) means is the abstract man against the masses. The red star symbolizes any collectivist mentality." -Neil Peart

  • @mchlmclean6 Yeah we don't know music, that's how we invented a little genre called rock n roll, something that every other country copies.

  • It's hard to believe there's only 3 guys making this gigantic music!

  • geddy lee is truely a good singer

  • 35 people are downies
