At this point, the procedure is to apply TOGA thrust to all engines because the failure happened so quickly and you do not have time to determine which engine is on fire........ Act now, confirm later, that's the airbus motto....

These are pilots with 4 strips as you can see ... they know what they are doing pretty well .... if you are a pilot also .. its ok mayday or declaring emerjency is the same .... the most importment is that ATC understand's you weather you say mayday x3 or declaring an emerjency ..... then level off to mainting a safe airspeed ... stop the ECAM action ... etc

i Agree engine fire is a very serious emergency which has to be dealt with quickly.and the right call is MAYDAY * 3.
However this is a training video so there actions are slow so we can catch up and learn.

This is quite poor "Air Portugal Declaring an Emergency" is non standard. The correct call should be 'Mayday' x 3. The use of TOGA, Airbus say 'if required'. There is some evidence to suggest that selected TOGA is adding to the problems of an engine on fire.
