@waneferet Agreed!!!

If you have somebody speaking of a people they have never met, about a culture they have never experienced, and then you have a person who lived with these same people and got to know them, who has more credibility??
-
Yes, living in an "African village (two villages in two different countries)" for almost four years gives me a little credibility in knowing that Africans are not some mystical, all-knowing people. They are people just like everybody else in the world. People post silly videos of their friends all the time. It shouldnt be any different for me to post a video of my friend, whether he is African, white or green. Bockary has seen this video of himself and thinks it is as hilarious as I do.
-
(sigh).....please. Is the fact that you've lived in an "african village" supposed to give you credibility???
-
What do you mean by "YOUR beautiful African people". There are something like 50 languages spoken in Togo alone, and that is just ONE country in the entire CONTINENT of Africa, and it is a country the size of Vermont- so imagine how many more cultures and languages there are in the entire continent!
-
Hate to say it waneferet- but i think you're the one guilty of prejudgment- by implying that all the people of Africa are the same and of one culture, you have grossly over-simplified the situation.
-
Why don't they file an intellectual property case? They could sue all the Yoga schools! And use the money to give all the poor starving people of Africa yoga lessons...
-if know the language you know the culture. dont agree prove me wrong. name anything in your culture that surpassed afrikan culture!!u made them look like fools -making fun of them bc they forgotten who they are!! how dare you-making it seems as if u came to teach them!! please.what r u baby going to teach the original men?

we ALL come from Africa, historically and evolutionarily speaking. some of us just lost our color a little sooner than others.
and anyway i know they teach me more than i teach them. i don't go over there to 'teach'. maybe stop judging people before you know them, yeah?
