I can understand every word.
Yeah I'm Dutch.
But I can't understand a word of German.
They are not a like.
English at first was a language that seemed most similar to Dutch and Frisian.
It got highly influenced by the French which were dominating England at some time.
The language started to change by different languages.

Indeed. Dutch is mainly a sort of simplified German (grammatically simplified for English speakers), with some minor French influences.

Sadly there are no subtitles, but if you know German and English than Dutch is not that difficult to understand, not the details but the main thing.
