  • adaptable to a trickel charger maby ..Great Post ,, I always enjoy your projects ..Thanks 4 shareing !!

  • I did something similar to this with a door hinge. There seems to be some magic in spark gaps... Imhotep has something similar with a relay that keeps doing the same buzzing :-) I don't have it hooked up in the same room with me.

  • As simple as it is, it's really quite eloquent of days gone by (though new). I mean that it reminds you of something Faraday or Tesla might have built, and would be a great subject for a nicely crafted, antique looking project, you know? Not that your work isn't good, i don't mean to imply that at all... I hope you get what I mean :) Thanks Daftman.

  • you are amazing

  • daftmn, can you provide in the description how much volts/amps goes in and how many volts/amps comes out?, like say you hook up a amp/volt meter to the output terminals, measure, then hook it up to the input terminals, to show what the draw is. im interested in building in the near future a meg using some sortof bedini clicky circuit like you have here and looping some of the acsess energy back to a capacitor to keep the system constantly charged and at the same time running.

  • I LOVE IT! its very close to how tattoo machines run! except we use two coils

  • Woot!!

    Go daftman :)

  • this is almost identical to tattoo machine principle!

  • This setup is similar to Electrofishing device...very informative and nice to replicate...

    God Bless...

  • Wonderful work! Great explanation, too. Your setup offers all kinds of possible applications.

  • This is actually how some switchmode power supplies work, among other things. But those use semiconductors instead of relays. I do believe the high voltage transformers in CRT TVs use the back EMF aka flyback effect as well, if I remember my homework.

  • fantastic man! It took me a whole day to get this video downloaded (im out in the bush) but it was well worth it! great job and thanks!!!!
