May 24-10: A photo shoot of Victoria Park station and the newly open bus bays area. The area is not finish, but good enough to get the buses to use the new bus bays terminal. The temporary walkway is now open so work can take place on the current one. Work is now well underway for building the new east entrance for the westbound platform. With the opening of the new bus bays area, work can start building the new parking lot where the old one was as well for the temporary bus terminal. A big step up on TTC part to get this type of terminal. The bus Bay open on May 22-10 as far as I know.
nice!

Part 2: While there's still almost a year's worth of work to be done, the new terminal is a major step, and likely to be the most appreciated. I asked a couple of 24 drivers if it saved them any significant time getting into and out of the station compared to the old one; they said not really. One of them did say the ramp leading to and from the old terminal tended to ice up badly in winter, making it difficult to go up, and treacherous to go down!

"The bus Bay open on May 22-10 as far as I know. " Yes it did - catching even a lot of drivers by surprise! It's a real thing of beauty compared to what was there before (an abomination!) No more going downstairs from the subway, then up again to the buses (or from one bus to another); that can mean making or missing a bus that runs every 30 minutes or more, especially at night. (continued).
