I love fishing here, my family and I used to rent a cabin on french lake by springstead and we would always come to the flowage a few times and fish.

You should never feed any of the animals This is actually considered illegal in iron county please dont feed the animals. The flowage is really random, depending on the time of year and weather conditions you will find that what ever your catching you can generally catch in really large numbers. If your looking for eyes find some flat bottom at a medium depth 7-13 feet look for area's with stumps or logs littering the bottom. I find a hunk of crawler on a weedless is usually the best.

Hey great video. I am going to Turtle Flambeau in September with some co-workers. We have rented a cabin for a week. Can you provide any fishing tips for us while we are there? This will be our first time there and would appreciate any advice you could give. Thanks..

My dad and I went last year in July and it was a blast! We are going to go again this year. We didn't have a lot of sucess with walleyes due to all the weather systems coming in. The smallmouth however were on fire. This vid is only on a few hours of smallmout action. What worked best for us in 5-15 feet of water was just dropping jigs with nighcrawlers beneath the boat, or on slip bobbers. The smallmouth would hook themselves. We also caught a few with crankbaits. Good Luck!!!
