Patent Takeover Act, 2011

Big business has waged a relentless takeover bid of the American Patent System. The "America Invents" Act is the latest victory for megacorp in the consistent movement to shape the U.S. laws in their favor. The red herring "First to File" has been used as the supposed reason for the S.23 and HR. 1249 bills, but the devilish details that go along with the new law will give big business no reason not to infringe at will. This law change will kill the reward system for inventors.

If you are Obama, I will gladly go through each of the major points (approximately 7), any of which is bad news, but collectively make the whole system a joke. At this point, his opinion is the only one that matters (Veto power).

With the demands on my time, it took me a month to get around to setting up this video. By the time I get to one like you suggest, the whole deal will likely be done.

@Skilbeard For an itemized view of what is wrong with the America Invents Act, search SanePatentReform and go to the "org" one. The fight against this bill was from a individuals, like the person posting this video, who had to do it while trying to survive this tough economy. The entities pushing this bill were large corporations investing large amounts of money in the fight. They had been trying to get similar legislation passed for 20 years. We need to overturn this legislation.

You clearly know something about the patent law that a lot of us don't. You should have itemized the changes and then argue for or against them. Just showing opposition to a system that was considered a mess don't tell the whole story. For all I know you were probably just arguing the points that suits you.
