On the bus ride from the museum, we befriended three girls - university students studying to become social workers - who took us around a night market. We toured this market that can only be described as the monstrous, crushing crowds of Mong Kok coursing through the brightly-lit alleys of the Temple Street market; on second thought the mass of humanity is more like the crowds at the Lunar New Year market on its last day; it was impossible last night to determine a course not already defined by the dense current of people.
There were delicious, mysterious victuals to consume at the market, if one was strong enough to stop amidst the throngs; and we managed to repose twice, once to try some sickly sweet candied strawberries and again to consume noodles in a squid soup - we consumed the soup noodles in a bus terminus-style waiting room in which patrons sat comfortably on long rows of wooden benches. After finishing off our meals, our parties departed. Calvin and I went for bubble tea.
