Rick Perry Breaks Fundraising Record for Republican Gov Association

Though he has not announced whether he'll run in 2012, Texas governor Rick Perry is breaking fundraising records, bringing in a record $22 million in the last quarter as part of his job as Chairman of the Republican Governors Association. That's getting the attention of the GOP, especially among those who questioned whether Perry could fund a presidential campaign.
Patti Ann Browne spoke to Fox News' Digital Politics Editor Chris Stirewalt about how Perry's clout is rising with his ability to boost the bottom line for the Republican party. Stirewalt says the RGA likes to endorse governors because as the "state's party," they support leaders who understand the issues of individual states and are for states' rights.

When is George Bush, I mean, Rick Perry gonna join the rest of the republican field? if Perry runs, he'll be the Southern Republican Bible belt Christian "good ole boy" candidate for president, and everyone else will be playing catch up, come Super Tuesday.

Texas, the nations number one state economy. No state personal income tax. Jobs. Can't ask for much better than that at the state level. Sounds like Rick Perry knows what he's doing. I'd vote for him in a heartbeat.
