' Love with the Proper Stranger ' is the story of Angie Rossini (Natalie Wood), a salesgirl at Macy's department store who finds herself pregnant after a brief affair with musician Rocky Papasano (Steve McQueen). When she tracks him down he doesn't remember her. She does not expect him to marry her; all she wants is enough money to pay for an abortion.
This particular scene finds Angie and Rocky just after they escape her brothers giving chase having been spotted in public visiting Rocky's parents seeking the additional $50 they need for the "Doctor".

  • I belive this to be one of histories most beutiful movies, it should be part of every teenagers education, poetry in film.

  • She is completely, utterly, irresistable. One look from those brown eyes, and you're toast, mister. I loved this movie but I thought Steve McQueen's character was a total fraud. LET ME get trapped into marrying Natalie Wood. I'd go for it in a New York Minute.

  • @critchley3819 - NOW That is a naive remark - LIFE may be simple for you but for others it may not be. Consider this: finding yourself so attracted to the wrong type of guy and giving in to your emotions. Yes, it can be simple if one push away from that attraction. However, I am speaking of the general populations for all their needs - whether through insecurities and need to be love find themselves in this dilemna. Don't Justify your view for the rest of US!!!

  • @critchley3819 - You misunderstood my remark - First in foremost it is a special movie which I happened to love very much. I was only commenting that that time - which you don't understand - was difficult for most women before abortion was legalized. You can LOVE these movies but LEARN from them too!

  • @castalia60able I do not life in a make believe world at all, not even yours, If you are so bitter about your life do something about it but please leave me out of it. This movie is an education about being young and the beuty in people.

  • @critchley3819 - Yeah but back then you had to be cautious or else you wind up pregnant. A lot of women took chances and died from botched up abortion. Life wasn't that Simple. Sorry to break up your make believe world. Movies make it easy to think it is easy to love but maturity must be there or else you wind up living withe someone's parents.

  • @dougalmac54 - I must admit I enjoyed Steve performance. Especially the part where he would wouldn't let Natalie go out by herself to meet with those fake doctors. I love his gentleman manners. They were good together.

  • The Movie, McQueen & Wood ✭✭✭✭✭

  • @critchley3819 Yes, a lesson about life, how is it that us humans can be so stupid , when really its so simple.

  • @LuBear09
