@campbelljuliea Last message a couple weeks ago said they would not have more access probably. I have been keeping up with FRO, ships ombudsman, pre-recorded messages, eMarine, etc. Maybe sometime next week we'll get times. I have all my reservations done, 3 x 6 and 4 x 8 banners already shipped and coming this week. If they are on the same ship, then I can almost say for certain they know each other. Now just waiting for the "BIG DAY" with anticipation!!

Thanks for sharing your Homecoming experience. My son is a 0331 CAAT II currently assigned with the BLT 2/2 Warlords G Co. on the 22 MEU returning home in February 2012 from a long deployment since March 2011. I am anxious and excited with anticipation for my first experience as he returns after watching your video. "Thank You" LCpl Randy Novak for your unselfish dedication and service to give us our daily freedom!! OoRah!!

@campbelljuliea - Small world!! This will be my son's first deployment, and a long one at that. It has been over a year since I last saw him, so I wouldn't miss it for the world!! Thanks for your tips in your posts as well as I'll be sure use them!! If you are going, maybe I'll see you there in February. I will be sure to ask my son if he met your son. Godspeed to everyone heading HOME. Won't be long now!! :-)

@mkb251930 I heard that they may not have email access towards the last few days before arrival so if that is true you will have to make sure you keep up with the FRO post. Times have not been posted but you should know your sons day of arrival. I already have my stuff to bake welcome home cookies for he and the guys. Have sign making material to put at the front gate too. Fun planning. That would be funny if our son's know each other. Feb. can't come fast enough. Proud Marine Mom

@tbearsamor - You will have the best time. Don't get anxious. Being to prepare Homecoming signs & banners. Keep in touch with the FRO about dates of arrival. Everything is subject to change but it helps to make some plans. Be flexible. Rest well before you travel to the base so your waiting is more relaxed. If the arrival is at night I suggest to bring a flash light so you can find your Marines sea bags. As you can see in the movie bags are all dumped in a huge pile. Let me know if I can help?
