2007 Thunder Over Louisville - Grand Finale

This is the last four minutes of the 30 Minute 2007 Thunder Over Louisville Fireworks Display. This years theme was "Magic". I let my six-year old handle the camera during the middle of this video. There are barges on both sides of the 2nd-Street Bridge that are filling the sky with fireworks over the Ohio River, while fireworks are also launched from the bridge itself.

Thanks for the comment. The thing to keep in mind is that there are two barges on each side of the bridge which are launching redundant displays while fireworks are also sent from the bridge itself.

You know, I don't know the name of that song. It was part of the Thunder music, but I know I've heard it at a zillion ballparks and hockey games if that's any clue.

Just a little info for anyone who has never heard of Thunder Over Louisville, it is the opening ceremonies for the KY Derby Festival which is normally two weeks long. Thunder Over Louisville is the largest annual fireworks display in the nation. I highly recommend that you come to Louisville for this event...you will not be disappointed!

I agree with the no video can do it justice comment. I have only missed one show in the last 14-15 years and plan to be there again. I took some friends from college last year and they were amazed at how big the show was, even after I had talked about it for months. I will be there again this year and cant wait.

i've seen plenty of firework shows outside of the us and none beat thunder over louisville. everyone would have a great time and it's free. truely though there is no video to do this show justice. it's definitely breath taking.

I love Thunder. I always go down the night before and get a great spot on the Great Lawn! Beer and BBQ all day!
