hear them. ran out of room in last comment box. I feel that there won't be any classic "rap" stations 40 years down the road b/c "great" songs only stay popular for a few months, and then ppl consider them out of style. Yet most ppl are fine with the way music is today. I feel like I'm in the wrong music generation.

trivia: CCR never had a number 1 hit!
even with all of the amazing songs they produced, apparently other songs were more popular at the time.

@BobBerkeley I am a young listener who also wishes to have lived back then to hear the music and go to rock concerts even moreso. I understand how there was also really bad music back then, but now its all crap on the radio as far as modern music (rap, hip-hop, what ppl nowadays call rock but isn't even close) so i find myself always listening to the local classic rock stations. Also, from a different perspective, having those bad songs would make hearing great ones all the better whenufinallydo

That intro is so classic, great and the song is awesome . it makes me feel sad. I read somewhere it was a like a goodbye song that Jhon wrote for his brother . No wonder why it can bring that kind of feelings when it is played.

This music is wonderful but don't close off to new music. Jack White makes some great music-give it a go. In a slightly different vein, how do you feel about Jason Mraz?

So many young people write here about how they wish they lived in the 1960s and could have heard great music all the time. Well, yeah, you could turn on your radio back then and hear CCR, Doors, Beatles, Wilson Pickett, etc., but you were just as likely to hear Sonny & Cher, Gary Lewis & the Playboys, and Tommy James & the Shondells! They throw crap at you no matter when you live!
