Hello,
I made apple slices in my Excalibur food dehydrator in a snap! It literally took me less than 4 minutes to prepare apple slices in my awesome food dehydrator. My boys LOVE dried apples, dried strawberries, dried pineapple and more! This is a healthy treat and OH SO EASY TO MAKE! I will be featuring the dried apples as soon as I can. THANK YOU AND ENJOY!

  • Have you tried soaking the apple slices in Pineapple juice?

I just saw a video where he did that and said it was great.

    Great video, thanks for sharing.

  • @ImRamro - No, I have not tried pineapple juice. I know my 60/40 lemon juice mix works great. I would be interested in finding out how pineapple juice would work. It sounds like it would be delicious! Thank you for watching.

  • Hi have you ever played around with adding flavours to your apple slices before dehydrating them? Like maple, brown sugar, other sugars ? watered down & sprayed on ? wondering if it would work or would the sugar rot?

  • @mukwah1111 - Hi, I have not tried maple syrup, but I have tried powder sugar. The results were very sticky and messy. The results were not worth the effort. But I have not tried maple syrup or a brown sugar mix. If you do, let us know how it goes. Thank you for watching!

    All The Best,

  • Apples become soggy and squishy after they're dried, right?

  • @efooddehydrator I just ordered the excalibur tonight. Can't wait to try your recipe. Tell me, are the chips crispy or soft in texture?

  • Hi,

It is very easy to clean the sheets and trays. The trays are dishwasher safe. The sheets should be cleaned by hand to extend their use. Easy to get off with soap and water. Thanks for watching!

  • Whether you vacuum seal your food or can it, it will last for years. Be sure to keep it in a dark area for storage.
