  • tim, when i have to cut a tree branch with a pruning blade, do i use orbital or straight cutting. please respond. thanks

  • I would start with a straight cut and switch to orbital.

  • tim, is the long stroke for demolition. please respond. thanks

  • yes, it is a more aggressive cut

  • Tim did you mean that the short stroke is straight cutting and the long stroke is orbital cutting. All your videos are great.

  • I would have to listen again. The short stroke is my choice when I need control, minimal damage to the material being cut and when cutting through metal.

  • for most home owners this tool is useless, i don't know why companies push it in their combo kits

  • always make a cut under the limb first or you get unwanted breaks on the tree. I learned the hard way...i was out cutting trees then my uncle came out and yelled at me because i destroyed over half of his apple trees. lol

  • i had this bosch saw and its 500 times better than the millwaukee 28 volt it was the best , only one problem the batteries didnt last long and its to heavy

  • too right.

  • My first cordless drill was 9.6 volt 20 years ago and was laughed at now we would be lost without them. I like the look of this saw, we have 2 corded reciprocating saws at work but sometimes it would be without the cord. Being old school I still love a sharp hand saw and its a pleasure to cut and trim with them and makes the blood go round.

  • a jig saw is similar to a reciprocating saw. they have smaller blades, and they can cut tighter curves.
