It wont always be this obvious, but you will see the red highlighted sectors which means it is bad.

It is best to let it run for about 3-5 passes (top right of memtest) if it is not showing bad sectors immediately.

  • @rick62008 Good Question. That would be a simple exchange of RAM and try again.  If it fails again, then it might not be the memory.

  • Could the motherboard be the faulty one and the memories still be in good shape?
