Joanna Morea performs 's wonderful in the Iguana Bar of the Blue Cactus Restaurant in Warsaw on the evening of 10 June 2010 at a meeting of The English Speaking Expatriate Business Owners in Poland.
"'S Wonderful" was composed by George Gershwin, with lyrics written by Ira Gershwin. It was introduced in the Broadway musical Funny Face (1927) by Adele Astaire and Allen Kearns.
The song was included in the 1951 movie An American in Paris where it was sung by Gene Kelly, as well as in the 1957 American musical film Funny Face, in which it was performed by Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire. The song is a very well-known standard, recorded by many artists, especially jazz artists. Vocal versions include those of Anita O'Day, Gene Kelly, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Joe Williams, John Pizzarelli, Sarah Vaughan, Karrin Allyson, Diana Krall and João Gilberto. There have also been purely instrumental recordings, for example, by Ray Conniff , Lee Konitz and Lenny Tristano, Sonny Stitt, and Lionel Hampton with Oscar Peterson.
The English Speaking Expatriate Business Owners in Poland association is a non-profit association exclusively for foreign chief executives: Poland's obscure visible minority. ESEBOP's mission is to serve the networking needs of this group by organizing one dinner every operational quarter during the year. The dinners in October and February feature a panel discussion on a business-related topic, which allow chief executives to get acquainted with each other on home ground in open forum. Then the association hosts its Annual General Meeting in June, bringing members together at the end of the year for a strictly social dinner. In between dinners, members organized different activities under the ESEBOP umbrella.
Members pay an annual membership fee that covers the cost of the dinners for themselves and one guest of their choosing. ESEBOP is a social platform for forming lasting relationships between foreign business leaders who are otherwise an obscure minority in Poland.
My channel is one of the most prolific from Poland. With almost one film per day, one may be forgiven for thinking I do nothing else but I do have a day job as well. Central and Eastern European Packaging examines the packaging industry throughout this region, but in particular in the largest regional economies which are Russia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Austria. That is not to say that the other countries are forgotten, they are not, but obviously there is less going on. However the fact that there are so many travel related films here is not from holidays but from business trips attending trade fairs around the region. Every packaging trade fair is a new excuse to make another film!
