Joe Jackson is an island. To his family he is still a force of nature:one that was too strong and still intimidating for MJ. There was too much history-period, between the two. Yes, MJ WAS not only his "cash cow", but moreso all of his hopes and dreams that Joe never saw realized. His son's death puts him in a different spotlight, giving him yet again the attention and credit he craves. MJ died to him a long time ago, and vise versa. While there may have been love, there is STILL selfishness.
